About Imran Akhtar, DO

Dr. Imran Akhtar grew up in Brooklyn, New York. He attended Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where he double-majored in Neuroscience and Economics, and went to medical school at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He started his orthopedic surgery residency in 2015 at Oklahoma State University – Center for Health Sciences. During his residency training, Dr. Akhtar developed a special interest in total hip and knee replacements. He further developed his specialized skills by completing a fellowship in adult reconstructive surgery at the Desert Orthopedic Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2020. Dr.
