About Elder
Elder is a British steakhouse with Indian influences in Hudson Yards, New York, on the ground floor of Henry Hall at 517 W 38th Street near 10th Avenue. Chef Sujan Sarkar, born in Kolkata and formerly head chef of Automat in London, pairs the tradition of the London chophouse with the spices and techniques of India. The menu celebrates prime cuts, steaks, and chops, including a filet with Tellicherry peppercorns, a bone-in rib chop, and lamb chop with dry burrah spice, plus vegetarian dishes such as the beet Wellington.
