Dr. Adrian Gonzalez was born and raised in the Washington Heights neighborhood of New York City. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at the City University of New York and received his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical School in 2002. While at SUNY Downstate, he was selected for induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Medical Honor Society in recognition of his academic excellence, leadership, professionalism, and commitment to service. After completing his residency in Internal Medicine at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) in 2005, Dr. Gonzalez joined the faculty in the Division of Hospital Medicine at CUIMC. In 2008, he was honored with one of the institution's Physician of the Year awards.Since 2013, Dr. Gonzalez has practiced primary care while also serving as a hospitalist, gaining extensive experience in both outpatient and inpatient medicine. More recently, after four years as a full-time hospitalist at CUIMC, he is pleased to return his primary focus to outpatient care. He is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care and building lasting relationships with his patients.
